Steven De Schrijver has published the Belgian chapter in the PLC Mergers and Acquisitions Cross-border Handbook. In his chapter Steven gives practical information on the laws and regulation governing public M&A in Belgium. In particular, he examines current market activity, the regulation of recommended and hostile bids, pre-bid formalities, procedures for announcing and making an offer, consideration, post-bid considerations, defending hostile bids, tax issues, other regulatory requirements and restrictions, as well as any proposals for reform.
Steven de Schrijver is the Head of the Corporate/M&A and the IT & New Media Departments of Lorenz.
